The Los Angeles Icon poster features the Capitol Records building, a 13-story tower located in the famous Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is the world's first circular office building. The blinking beacon atop the tall spike on the building’s roof spells out "Hollywood" in morse code.

The Capitol Records building was designed by Welton Becket, and construction was completed in 1956.
