The St. Louis Icon poster features the Gateway Arch, a 630-foot monument on the west bank of the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri. As St. Louis' most internationally recognizable icon, it's also the world's tallest arch and the tallest monument in the Western Hemisphere. Built as a monument to the United States' westward expansion, the arch exemplifies a universal progression toward the future.
The Gateway Arch was designed by Hannskarl Bandel, and construction was completed in 1965.
